Hunt for man who tried to abduct a woman

Police are looking for man who tried to abduct a woman in Melbourne's outer east.

A 36-year-old woman was walking through Churchill National Park at Lysterfield Lake about 4.15pm on Saturday when she was approached by a man.

The man grabbed the woman around the waist and put a hand over her mouth. He attempted to drag her to the ground but she broke free.

Victoria Police have released an image of the man, estimated to be 183cm tall and aged between 20 and 40 years.

He was wearing a grey beanie and grey jumper at the time of the attack.
