Human remains found near Queensland tourist spot
Skeletal remains have been discovered on a remote forestry track on the Sunshine Coast.
Two men out four-wheel-driving in the Glass House Mountains made the grisly find around midday on Tuesday.
Police believe the remains are human.
They will now be sent for further scientific and forensic analysis to establish the gender.
A crime scene has been set up and an incident centre established at Maroochydore Police Station involving police from the Sunshine Coast Criminal Branch, as well as intel, scientific and crime officers.

The Glass House Mountains are a popular tourist spot, offering scenic walking trails and views over the surrounding peaks.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with Policelink using the online suspicious activity form, or by calling Crime Stoppers.
