The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has edged beyond 7000.

A 93-year-old woman from Sydney’s Newmarch House died last week, marking Australia’s 100th confirmed coronavirus death.

On Tuesday, a 30-year-old man in Queensland became the youngest Australian to die with the virus.

In Australia more than 1 million people have been tested for the virus, out of the population of 25.7 million.

*Two deaths recorded in NSW have also been included in Queensland death count
