A portion of a hospital car park will be closed over the weekend to allow for medical equipment to be delivered.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City Hospital, said car park F will be closed from Friday at 22:00 GMT until 12:00 on Sunday.

Visitors using the car park, which is located close to the haematology and oncology unit and the ambulatory care unit, have been advised to remove their vehicles before Friday evening.

A spokesperson for the trust said that the closure was to accommodate an MRI scanner being moved and the delivery of a new unit.

The hospital in the Bretton area of the city has at least seven more car parks for visitors and patients to use, all of which will remain open as normal.
