Horror as bus driver allegedly stabbed
A bus driver has been rushed to hospital after he was allegedly stabbed outside a shopping centre in Queensland’s busy Gold Coast.
Police were called to Robina Town Centre Drive about 1pm on Wednesday following reports a 60-year-old man had been stabbed in the hip.
Officers said initial information indicated the alleged offender fled the area, with a crime scene established as police investigate the alleged attack.
In a statement, Queensland Ambulance said “One patient sustained non life-threatening wounds following an incident on Arbour Lane and Robina Town Centre Drive.
“They (the patient) were transported in a stable condition to the Gold Coast University Hospital,” the ambulance service said.
