Jonathan Ross' daughter slams 'anti-fat' Instagram bikini ban
Jonathan Ross’ daughter Honey Ross is a rising Instagram star with a lot to say, and this week she took aim at Instagram for ‘hating fat bodies’.
The 23-year-old is a self-professed ‘fat’ advocate and model and regularly shares uplifting body-positive content with her 38.6K followers.
This week, however, she was thwarted in her positive body crusade when Instagram removed one of her posts citing a ‘violation of our community guidelines’.
The offending picture was of the rising advocate swimming in a blue and white bikini at Iceland’s Blue Lagoon, her body completely covered by the two-piece.
Other photos of the same bikini were allowed to stay up, and on the same trip Honey shared a nude photo taken from behind that has also not been found to ‘violate’ the social media platform’s notoriously fickle policies.

In the notice sent to the Instagram star, the Facebook company wrote that the post had been deleted because they don’t allow “graphic violence”, hate speech, harassment and bullying” or “nudity and sexual activity”.
The photo does not seem to contain any of the above violations, and Honey shared a screenshot of the ban notice to her stories alongside a scathing message.
“Instagram, why don’t you just say you hate fat bodies?” she queried.
Other nude photos allowed to stay on site
Adding fuel to Honey’s argument is not only her own less close-up images allowed to stay live on the site, but the frequent skimpy bikinis modelled by traditionally thin models on the site is unaffected by similar bans.
Last week model and bikini designer Emily Ratajowski was allowed to share a photo of a fake ‘tattoo that exposed her entire back and buttocks.
Others celebrities who classify themselves as fat have run into this kind of censorship on other platforms too.
The Juice singer, who posts regularly to the social media platform, sent a message to TikTok via a lip-sync video to I Know, a song made popular by TikTok user Erin McMillen, the star grilled the platform in some strongly worded messages written over the video.
“TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” Lizzo wrote.
“But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits.”
“I wonder why?” she pointedly asked, adding: “TikTok we need to talk.”
Honey slams famous parents for ‘toxic’ teen diet
The latest takedown from Honey comes after she addressed her parent’s decision to put her on a ‘toxic’ diet as a teen last week.
Appearing on ITV program Loose Women on Tuesday, the budding influencer revealed that as a child and teenager her parents put her on ‘toxic’ diets in a bid to help her cope with hating her own body.
“They saw me, a teenage girl coming home saying: “I hate my body.”,” she told the panel. “They tried to give me solutions to a problem I brought to them, which was to lose weight.”
“They presented me with diets, and diets, as we know, don’t work and are absolutely toxic.”
