Home and Away's Sophie Dillman debuts dramatic transformation
Home and Away star Sophie Dillman has decided to drastically change up her look. The star, who plays Ziggy Astoni on the show, has followed in her boyfriend Patrick O’Connor’s (Dean Thompson) lead and dyed her hair.
She’s known for her ‘Ziggy blonde’ hair which she has sported since 2017, but the actress opted to try out a short warm, copper hairstyle. While fans couldn’t get enough of her new look, others were heartbroken as it all but confirms her departure from the show.
Former Home and Away makeup and hair artist Ella Jean was responsible for the star’s fresh hairstyle, and she shared a video of the process on Instagram.
“COPPER TRANSFORMATION! Literally obsessed with this fresh colour on my girl. Hair and makeup by me,” Ella wrote in the caption.

The star smiled as she showed off her wavy copper hair that framed her face perfectly.
Sophie’s co-stars praised her for the new look, with Emily Weir (Mackenzie Booth) saying she looked “amazing”.
“That looks BEAUTIFUL,” Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) added.
“Yesss!!! Obsessed with this colour Soph,” Sam Frost (Jasmine Delaney) chimed in.
“Just stunning girlie,” Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts) commented.
Some of her fans didn’t even recognise the star and quickly flooded Instagram with positive comments.
“Wow I didn’t even recognise you Sophie, so pretty,” a person wrote.
“Loving your new hair. You look so different,” added another.
“OMG Sophie you look beautiful and the colour suits you so much,” a third remarked.
“You look ABSOLUTELY STUNNING with that short hairdo! Colour suits you very well too,” another said.
It has been widely reported that Sophie and Patrick have left the show, with eagle-eyed fans claiming to have seen them filming a farewell at Palm Beach earlier this year, and Lynne seemingly confirming their exit.

With Patrick bleaching his hair blonde, and Sophie dyeing her hair copper, all signs point to their departure. Actors are generally not supposed to change their hair while under contract, and their new looks have left fans heartbroken.
“You’re gorgeous. You’ll be missed on Home and Away,” one fan wrote sadly.
“I’m just not going to deal with it when you and [Patrick] leave Home and Away!!! P.s. you look beautiful,” another added.
“Stunning. Will miss the Ziggy blonde though. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones Soph,” a third commented.
