High tide flood warning for Manx harbours

A warning for potential inner harbour flooding has been put in place for high tide in several areas.

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for minor flooding in three areas for a "short time" before and after high tide at 13:50 GMT on Tuesday.

The Tongue in Douglas could be affected, with a risk of water also lapping into the car parks on the riverside stretch of Lake Road.

The Hope Street area of Castletown and East Quay in Ramsey could also see some issues.

Flood defences in Castletown and around the Tongue in Douglas should remain in place until after the high tide had passed, forecasters said.

The weather warning was put in place between 13:00 and 15:00.
