Hero TV reporter throws herself in front of runaway horse
A TV reporter has become an unlikely hero at the race track after she stopped a runaway horse.
Hayley Moore saw horse ‘Give em a Clump’ bolting towards her while she was reporting from Chepstow, in Wales, and instead of running out of its way, she risked her own safety to dive for its harness.
Standing directly in the horse’s path, she grabbed the reins and was briefly dragged across the turf until it slowed up and came to a halt.
Having grown up around horses thanks to her trainer father, Hayley was ready to leap into action after the horse lost its rider during a race.
“I just couldn’t bear to see it go out on another lap so, yeah, I thought we’d go for it,” she said afterwards.
