Here's Why People Think There Was Monopoly Money Found In What May Be The Alleged CEO Killer's Bag
We're on week two of searching for the UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's killer, and as I'm literally writing this, a man has been arrested and is being questioned about the crime by the police.

While that unfolds, let's talk about one of the biggest developments from over the weekend.
Last week, detectives found bullet shells left at the scene that had "deny," "defend," and "depose" inscribed on them. Reuters reported that the phrase is similar to a 2010 book about the insurance industry called Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It.
Over the weekend, detectives released more images of the suspect in the back of a cab.

Police also revealed that they found a backpack resembling the one worn by the shooter in Central Park.
Reuters is reporting that Monopoly money and a jacket were found in the backpack, and people have A LOT to say about it.
A bunch of people are talking about what they think is the symbolism of it all.
Apparently the UHC CEO shooter’s backpack was filled with Monopoly money. This guy certainly isn’t subtle about the message he wanted to send.

A viral tweet by @kemimarie explains that Monopoly is a "anti-capitalist game demonstrating the negative impacts of economic privilege & private monopolies."
this man single-handedly inciting a class war through messaging like this is fascinating. monopoly is intended to be an anti-capitalist game demonstrating the negative impacts of economic privilege & private monopolies. https://t.co/t9vpHVuwbW

Another person echoed a similar sentiment, saying, "Monopoly was originally designed to show the evils of wealth consolidation under capitalism."
On that note, the BBC wrote an article in 2017 saying how Monopoly "was invented to demonstrate the evils of capitalism."
Another thing people are talking about in relation to the Monopoly money is the NYPD.
