A helicopter has crashed into power lines in southern NSW, with its male pilot pulled from the wreckage in a critical condition.
The incident occurred on Friday at Steam Plains, near Deniliquin.
NSW Ambulance on Friday said three crews and a specialist medical team attended the scene and extracted the man from the helicopter.
He has been treated for a head injury and airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
"The male pilot was the sole occupant in the helicopter," NSW Ambulance duty manager Markus Zarins said in a statement.
"Paramedics, including a specialist medical team, treated him at the scene and are transporting the patient in a serious condition."
