'Haters gonna hate': Ex-bikie wins $2 million Lotto jackpot with Father's Day ticket

A former bikie with a lengthy criminal history has won a whopping $2 million Lotto jackpot.

Jamie Brown has been proudly flaunting his windfall, even posing for photos on social media.

The former bikie has a rap sheet as long as his arm.

He made history in 2011 when he became the first bikie to be banned from associating with other club members.

Now Brown’s hit the jackpot, raking in a cool $2.2 million.

The ticket was a Father’s Day present from his wife who bought it from Campbell’s Newsagency at Morphett Vale in Adelaide’s south.

The winning ticket was not registered, so Lotto officials put out an appeal to find the lucky recipient.

The Brown family came forward with a message to their critics posted to social media.

“Couldn’t be more happy,” the post read.

“Haters gonna hate.”

Some people told 7 News they felt someone with a criminal history should not be eligible to win Lotto.

“Maybe he’ll donate it to charity. Hang on, I’m dreaming, aren’t I?” one person said.

Lotto officials say the family plans to save for their children’s future, make investments and pay off their house.

“It’s a free country, he paid for it, it’s good,” one person said of the bikie’s big win.

“Happy for him, no different to anyone else is it?” another said.
