Harry’s ex Chelsy Davy becomes unlikely royal wedding star
She’s the woman who dated Prince Harry for seven years, and Chelsy Davy has become a Twitter star after she attended the royal wedding over the weekend.
While it might seem a little strange to have your ex to your wedding, it’s actually something of a royal tradition, with William inviting five exes to his 2011 nuptials to Kate, and Charles having two former flames present when he married Diana.
But it wasn’t Chelsy’s presence that’s seen her go viral, but rather the South African beauty’s facial expressions while the bride and groom said ‘I do’.
Chelsy, who dated Harry between 2004 and 2011, was seen looking distinctly uncomfortable during the ceremony at St George’s Chapel, with many speculating at how hard it would be to see an ex marry someone else.
The blonde wasn’t the only ex present either, with Cressida Bonas, who dated the prince for two years, also in attendance.

You know I always wanted to go to an ex's wedding. It was like an item on the #bucketlist.
Now seeing the trolls made of Chelsy at the #RoyalWedding, I realize how stupid of an idea that was— Bhargavi Shamuk (@bhargavishamuk) May 20, 2018

Why did Harry's ex show up? Poor Chelsy gave Harry 7 years of her life. He married Meghan within 2 years of meeting. #royalwedding pic.twitter.com/hMewiQMXdL

Chelsy has spoken out in the past about how Harry’s “full on” lifestyle came between the pair.
After a tumultuous relationship which saw the 32-year-old supporting Harry during his army tour to Afghanistan, and uprooting her life to study in Leeds and be closer to the royal, the media glare surrounding their romance got to be too much.
“Crazy and scary and uncomfortable,” Chelsy said in a 2016 interview with The Times.
“I found it very difficult when it was bad.
“I couldn’t cope… I was trying to be a normal kid, and it was horrible.”
After their split, Chelsy retreated from the public eye and returned to Zimbabwe where she had grown up. The jewellery designer now splits her time between there, and her West London home.
