Harry and William's rift sparked by Meghan argument, claims royal author
The ongoing rift between Princes William and Harry is well-documented, and now a royal expert claims to have pinpointed the moment that their brotherly bond came undone.
In his new book, Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan, bestselling author Christopher Andersen traces the source of the feud back to September 2017.
Anderson cites a fiery conversation between the men that reportedly occurred when Harry, 37, would have been preparing to propose to his then-girlfriend, Meghan Markle.
The pair met on a blind date in early July 2016 and announced their engagement in November of the following year.
Harry's older brother, William, 39, was allegedly so concerned about his whirlwind romance with the Suits star that Wills asked Harry, "Why rush things?"
Andersen claims that the question angered the Duke of Sussex, who turned to his brother and asked, "Who the hell do you think you are?"
According to Page Six, Andersen writes that William reportedly reached out to the princes' uncle, Earl Charles Spencer for advice, a move that left Harry "furious" and only "made matters worse".

Andersen reports that Harry sang 40-year-old Meghan's praises to William before the two first met, fearing that William would see his girlfriend as "an opportunist".
Despite a positive first meeting with Meghan, William and his wife, Kate Middleton — who had an eight-year courtship — were "alarmed" by her family's various tell-all interviews, Anderson writes.
The author also claims that the Duke of Cambridge told his father, Prince Charles, that Harry's relationship with his future wife was 'like something he'd never seen'.
"It feels like I have lost my best friend," Wills allegedly told Charles.
A spokesperson for the Cambridges had 'no comment' for Page Six, while the Sussexes' did not respond.
Elsewhere in his explosive 360-plus page tome, Christopher Andersen also claims the brothers' feud was worsened when their grandmother, the Queen, asked a film crew to remove a portrait of Harry, Meghan and Archie before she recorded her traditional Christmas message.
Andersen also addresses Meghan and Harry's claims that a royal family member raised concerns about their unborn son's skin colour.
