Harris, Trump agree to separate town halls on Univision

Vice President Harris and Former President Trump have agreed to two separate town halls in October hosted by Univision.

Journalist Enrique Acevedo will field audience questions from undecided Hispanic voters. Trump will be the first to take the stage on Oct. 8 in Miami, followed by Harris’s event in Las Vegas on Oct. 10. Both episodes will air with Spanish translation at 10 p.m. ET.

“There are more than 36 million Hispanics eligible to vote in the U.S., making them the largest minority in the country, with the power to influence the outcome of the race for the White House and the future of the nation,” Daniel Coronell, president of Noticias Univision, released in a statement.

Both of the selected cities have a large Hispanic population. Miami is 70 percent Latino, while Las Vegas is 34 percent Hispanic.

Each state’s voters have presented a narrow contest in recent polling. Trump boasts a slight lead among voters in Florida compared to Harris, who is topping Trump in Nevada.
