Man threatened during armed NSW invasion

A 62-year-old man has allegedly been threatened with a replica handgun after two men armed with knives and scissors broke into a southwest Sydney home.

Police say the men kicked at the front door of the Cabramatta house but went around the back when they could not get inside on Friday afternoon.

They then allegedly confronted the man, threatening him with the replica weapon and searching his pockets.

Police were called after three residents realised what was going on and two men, aged 26 and 28, were arrested after allegedly trying to flee.

They are due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
