A man has had a shock after a hammer was thrown into his car in Melbourne's Glen Waverley.
The man was in his car on High Street Road at the intersection of Springvale Road about 5.30am on Wednesday when he felt what he thought was a shot fired into his car. He was unhurt.
He called police who discovered a hammer in the rear seat of the vehicle. Officers believe it was thrown into the car through the rear passenger's side window.
At the time of the incident, a dark-coloured Mazda turned right into Springvale Road and police wish to speak to the driver of that vehicle as well as a number of cyclists who were at the intersection.
