Halloween fans flock to spooky Bucharest festival
Halloween was celebrated in Bucharest with a three-day festival near Lacul Morii Lake, known for its eerie history.
The lake was artificially created in the late 1980s, leading to the demolition of hundreds of homes, schools, a church, and a cemetery. While authorities relocated about 11,000 graves, many were left behind, fuelling spooky tales of lost souls and ghostly sightings.
Over time, the area around the lake became a popular recreation area for residents, but it has never lost its reputation of eerie mystery.
