Hollywood superstar Gwyneth Paltrow has turned up the heat over the weekend, sharing a video of herself topless by the pool of her lavish Montecito residence.
Sharing the clip in an Instagram story, the 50-year-old A-list actress effortlessly showcased her own brand, G.Label by Goop, confidently sporting nothing but a pair of the label's wide-legged jeans, as she struck a poolside pose, with her back to the camera.
As the unrivalled ambassador for her G. Label jeans, Paltrow flawlessly promoted the discounted pair—originally priced at $295US, now available for $177US, which she wrote is rarely restocked.
Nonchalantly positioned by the poolside, she exuded effortless style in the trendy wide-legged denim, playfully twisting to face the camera.
Not the first time Paltrow has posed topless
Paltrow is no stranger to showing some skin in the name of her fashion line, promoting her G.Label jewellery in 2021 in a similar way.
When launching the new line, then 48-year-old Gwyneth decided to model the pieces herself—once again opting to go topless.
Paltrow talks openly about body image and confidence
As an influential figure in the realm of health and wellness, Paltrow has consistently championed body confidence and self-acceptance throughout her journey.
In an interview with The Press Association, she candidly remarked: "I don't think I've ever met a woman who feels completely great about her body, and that's a real shame". Her words shed light on the societal pressures that often lead women to hold themselves to external standards rather than embracing their true selves from within.
However, Paltrow's personal growth and commitment to self-improvement are apparent. "At this point in my life, I'm definitely not a perfect person, but I'm always on a journey toward self-improvement. I really like myself. I know my faults. I don't think I have blind spots anymore, and I'm trying to sort of cultivate that same feeling about my body."
Approaching the milestone of turning 50, Paltrow welcomed the occasion with a sense of inspiration rather than trepidation. In an interview with People magazine she revealed, "I feel really inspired by turning 50. I used to care so much what people thought of me. Now I don't care. It's so nice." This newfound liberation allowed her to embrace her authentic self and detach from the opinions of others. Paltrow emphasised that being free from the need for external validation signifies a closeness to one's inner being, an empowering realisation that fosters a deep sense of self-acceptance.
She added:"I think that transition is particularly hard for a woman because of what society tells us about turning 40 and that in some way when we lose reproductive viability that we're no longer desirable or important or visible. But I really didn't have any [anxiety] turning 50. I felt like this amazing liberation started to come."
