'Gut-wrenching' tragedy as father runs over son in driveway
A little boy has died after being hit by a car driven by his father in the NSW Riverina region.
The boy, 7, was hit by the car on the driveway of a home on Victoria Street, Temora on Sunday about 2pm.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the seven-year-old could not be saved.
A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed to Yahoo7 the boy’s father, 35, was behind the wheel.
Inspector Robert Vergano said “it is anticipated” in the coming days that the 35-year-old man will be interviewed.
“Police are treating this as an absolutely gut-wrenching, terrible tragedy,” he said.
“It is extremely concerning for all involved – family and first responders.”

Police are investigating the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
