Guilty plea for Perth warehouse arson

A 31-year-old man accused of torching a warehouse in Perth's southeast as part of an insurance scam, causing $10 million worth of damage, has pleaded guilty to arson and attempted fraud.

Iman Rahimi was charged some four months after the March 14 blaze at the Welshpool warehouse and factory, and is expected to be sentenced early next year.

His 63-year-old co-accused, property developer Hossean Pourzand, has not yet entered pleas and will return to court on October 11.
