Guess who's returning to the Today show

Just over a week after the new-look Today show kicked off, it seems there’s more changes to unfold for the breakfast TV show.

In fact, the forecast is looking great for weatherman Steve Jacobs, who is reportedly set to return to that very gig on a full time basis for Today in 2019.

According to TV Blackbox, the 52-year-old will be back on screen for the Channel Nine show next week.

Steve has plenty of experience as weather presenter, having done the role for Today from 2005 to 2017.

He then swapped positions with Natalie Cooper from Weekend Today.

After living in Vanuatu for a year, Steve moved back to Australia last year after his marriage ended, and filled in for Natalia Cooper on Today.

Channel Nine declined to comment when approached by Yahoo Lifestyle.

Meanwhile, this is the second week for the revamped Today show, with Georgie Gardner and Karl Stefanovic’s replacement Deborah Knight fronting the program as main hosts.

Newsreader Tom Steinfort, sports reporter Tony Jones, and entertainment reporter Brooke Boney complete the panel.
