WATCH: Vigilante pedophile hunters knock on child groomer's door

Video has emerged of the moment a group of pedophile hunters confronted a man in the UK who had been sending messages to two fake Facebook profiles pretending to be 13-year-old girls.

The group, Guardians of the North, tracked Carl Anthony to his home in Lake Avenue where they asked him about the conversations.

The video emerged after Anthony was handed a three-year community order and banned from making contact with girls under the age of 18 at Nottingham Crown Court.

Metro reports the 59-year-old sent a series of sexually explicit messages to profiles set up by the group from August 2016 onward.

In the video the Guardians of the North confront Anthony and he denies the accusations.

“You’ve been grooming girls online,” one man says.

“No,” he responds.

“Yes you have.”

The man then pulls out a few sheets of paper and says, “We’ve got everything you’ve said to these girls.”

He then tells another person off-camera to ring the police and accuses Anthony of sending the girls pictures of his genitals to which he denies.

“Is that appropriate to ask a 13 or 15-year-old girl?” he asks Anthony.

Anthony says he didn’t realise the how old they were.

“Yes you did,” he says.

“Yes you did.”

Examples of the conversations were shown in court, some featuring Anthony in a bathtub.

Prosecutor Gareth Gimson told the court Anthony asked a ‘girl’ if she’d like him to “kiss” her breasts but ended the conversation and said he did not “want to embarrass” her when she replied saying she “would be a bit shy”.

Anthony pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to incite a girl under the age of 13 in sexual activity.

He had no previous convictions and was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register.
