Groom accused of killing lover and hiding body in freezer HOURS before wedding

In a chilling case that has rocked a nation, an Indian man allegedly killed his lover and stored her body in a restaurant freezer just hours before marrying his fiancée.

Sahil Gehlot stands accused of strangling Nikki Yadav with an Internet cable inside a car after the pair got into a fight on February 10.

The couple, who have reportedly been in a relationship since 2020, were believed to have been arguing about Gehlot's upcoming wedding when things took a violent turn.

After killing the 22-year-old, the suspect stand accused of hiding her body in a restaurant freezer before walking down the aisle hours later to wed his bride. The name of the wife has been kept out of the Indian media.

Footage shows a restaurant in Delhi, India, cordoned off by police with blood stains across the door.

The 24-year-old suspect is believed to have rented a house in Dwarka with his lover, just a 45-minute drive from the capital.

According to local media, Yadav had begged the groom-to-be to tell his family about their relationship. Her devastated family also did not know about their romance.

Additional video footage appearing in local media shows Yadav's body arriving at hospital ahead of a post-mortem.

Gehlot has since been arrested by police after being found hiding in a nearby village. Vision shows the alleged killer handcuffed and escorted by officers into Saket Court.

Police have also arrested Rohit Gehlot, 26, in relation to the murder.

Although the pair share the same surname, it has not been confirmed if they are relatives.

A vehicle believed to have been used to transport the victim's body to the restaurant has also been seized.

Yadav’s dad, Sunil Yadav, is calling for her killer to be hung.
