Grant Denyer has been forced back into hospital with worsening health woes, almost a month after he was seriously injured in a farming accident.

The shock update was revealed by the Gold Logie winner’s wife Chezzi Denyer on Instagram, where she revealed Grant was “left in significant amount of pain after hosting Dancing With The Stars grand finale show last night”.

“Grant has undergone two epidural procedures, using cortisone to try to reduce the pain however they have only provided limited relief,” she wrote in the post’s lengthy caption.

“Anyone who has been in this position knows how seriously painful these injuries can be.”

The injuries she refers to occurred when Grant was driving in stakes for new trees in a paddock on the couple’s farm.

But almost a month later, Grant has had to try new avenues of medical treatment after his attempts to return to work at Channel 10 and 2DAY FM were unsuccessful.

“(Grant) has decided to take a further two weeks off all work to be admitted to a Sports Physiotherapy Recovery Hospital to attempt to recover from his injury,” Chezzi wrote.

“We are hopeful Grant will be back to his usual happy and pain free self then.”

The emotional post also garnered a just response from Grant’s well-heeled media colleagues who wished him well on the road to recovery.

“Lucky he’s got you to tell him when to slow down babes,” Studio 10 host Sarah Harris wrote following Chezzi’s post.

The Daily Edition’s Sally Obermeder and comedian Tanya Hennessy told how they were ‘sending all the love’ to the embattled pair.

In the days following the accident Chezzi again took to Instagram to update fans on Grant’s prognosis, saying he was in ‘incredible pain’ and bedridden after a tearing the disc in his lower back.
