Golden retriever service dog gives birth to eight puppies in airport

Staff at an airport in Florida were in for a “ruff” day when a dog started to deliver her litter of puppies outside their terminal.

Eleanor Rigby, a golden retriever service dog, went into labour as she prepared to board a flight at Tampa International Airport on Friday local time.

The dog gave birth to eight puppies outside a terminal with the help of airport paramedics.

The puppies’ father, Nugget, looked on during the birth.
