Golden retriever with no eyes has guide dog puppy as best friend

A dog is a man’s best friend, according to the renowned saying that resonates with millions of pet owners across the world.

But one ageing pup has opted for one of his own kind to be his best bud and his decision is melting the hearts of thousands of social media users.

Struggling to get around, he has enlisted the services of his new best friend Maverick – a four-month-old Golden Retriever guide dog puppy.

“Maverick is here to help Charlie around,” the pair’s family wrote on Instagram after starting a page to document their adventures.

According to the family from North Carolina, US, the dogs are inseparable and Charlie does a stellar job of guiding Maverick about the house and outside.
