Gold Coast teen fined after 'blowing cannabis smoke into kitten's face'

A Gold Coast teenager has appeared in court for reportedly blowing cannabis smoke into a kitten's face while it was being filmed by her boyfriend.

The clip of the incident was reportedly found on a phone during a raid at the Broadbeach Waters home of Sophie Wilson and her boyfriend Luke Hoiles in March last year, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.

In the video the cat can be seen acting playfully with the caption 'Kitty got into the goey'.

The court reportedly heard Luke Hoiles, 20, appeared to laugh on the video, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.

In the same clip the cat's legs appear to be tied up and it begins to be lick the affected area.

A foot can be seen stopping the animal from licking its hind legs, while the caption 'Kitty naughty tied up now' is displayed on screen.

Ms Wilson and Mr Hoiles reportedly pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in relation to the incident, according to the Daily Mail.

Ms Wilson also pleaded guilty to four counts of assaulting police, according to online reports.

She was reportedly fined $1500 for the offences, while Mr Hoiles was reportedly fined $1000 for the animal cruelty offences, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.
