Search for man with neck tattoo after suspicious recliner death

The public are being asked to help find a man in relation to the suspicious death of a man, 38, whose body was found in a recliner at a Gold Coast home.

Police were called to the Markwell Avenue home in Surfers Paradise about 5.15pm on Friday when they saw the body of Dre Nova through the lounge window.

He was found with significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, he was found with a head injury.

The Homicide Investigation Group declared a crime scene and scientific officers continue to process the scene over the weekend.

Queensland Police believe 26-year-old Coskun Marius may be able to assist with their investigations and have released his image to the public in a bid to determine his whereabouts.

Acting Detective Inspector Matthew Ward said Mr Marius and Mr Nova are known to each other.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him and should call triple-0 with any information regarding his location.

He is described as about 170cm tall, with a dark complexion and short hair.

Mr Marius is understood to have a goatee beard and a large, distinctive tattoo on the right-hand side of his neck.

He is believed to have been driving a 2017 white Toyota Hi-Ace van with Queensland registration 562-XHY.

The number plates may or may not have now been changed.

The last known movements of the vehicle were in the bayside suburbs of Brisbane on Saturday.
