Girl, 7, dies after falling from vehicle in Aussie outback

A seven-year-old girl has died after allegedly falling from a moving vehicle at a remote location in Central Australia.

Northern Territory Police believe the girl was travelling with her father and several others through a small town in the Northern Territory when she fell and suffered serious head injuries on Sunday afternoon.

The seven-year-old was sent to Royal Adelaide Hospital for Women and Children but later died from her injuries on Monday, police said in a statement on Wednesday.

Northern Territory Police are investigating the incident that occurred at around 4pm around 25km east of Harts Range.

Major Crash Investigation Unit Detectives looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
