Girl, 11, who disappeared in her pyjamas found safe

An 11-year-old girl who disappeared in Sydney has been found at a nearby park.

Jacinta Laverance, 11, went missing after 7.30am on Monday near Amaroo Street at Sylvania Heights wearing purple and aqua pyjamas and sneakers.

Just after 1pm, NSW Police confirmed she had been located safe and well and she was reunited with her family.

“Great news! An 11-year-old girl reported missing from Sydney’s south has been located safe and well,” NSW Police tweeted.

“Police wish to thank the public and the media for its assistance.”

Police say her parents woke on Monday morning to find her missing, sparking a large-scale police hunt.
