Georgia Harrison has revealed Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has come at the perfect time after her revenge porn case.

Last year the TV star’s ex Stephen Bear was sentenced to 21 months in jail after being convicted of sharing an intimate video of him and Harrison on OnlyFans. She is now being put through her paces on the Channel 4 series, which sees stars taking part in intensive training that’s usually for those preparing to enter the UK’s elite special forces.

In an emotional chat in the latest instalment, she said she wanted to see how strong she could be and that the show was “my time to show that I am so much more than what happened to me”.

Love Island star Harrison opened up in a tense episode that saw the celebs having to abseil down a dam and fall headfirst off a platform into the water in the dark.

At one point she talked about what she had been through, saying: “When you go through something like that you really do lose a lot of your self-esteem. I felt violated, I felt ashamed, I felt embarrassed.

“I felt like I'd devalued myself, like I looked at myself as something that was damaged goods. I feel like this is my time to show that I am so much more than what happened to me.”

Harrison was taken in for a talk with the directing staff, including Chief Instructor Billy Billingham and Foxy (Jason Fox), where she explained what she had been through with Bear.

“In the time that that went on my best friend died and my ex-boyfriend died so over that two years it’s just been a lot of just trying to get through things,” she said, becoming tearful. "It's been like two years of just trying to barely just on with things and just be strong enough to just be remotely happy and achieve the things that I need to achieve, just get by.

“A lot of it I had to be strong really quickly because I had to be strong to get to the court case. I had to put a lot of my grieving to the side.”

Harrison told the staff: “It’s nice actually just to be here for a few days and not have someone go, ‘Are you OK?’ I’ve got so much more in my character than that.

"This is the perfect way to rip me out of what’s been two years of struggle.”

When one of the team noted that the course couldn’t have come at a better time for the star, she agreed: “It couldn’t.”

Reality TV star Stephen Bear arrives at Chelmsford Crown Court, Essex, where he is charged with voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs or films. The 32-year-old, who appeared in Ex On The Beach, is accused of secretly recording himself having sex with a woman and posting the footage online. Picture date: Tuesday December 6, 2022.

Recounting their conversation to some of her co-stars, Harrison said: “They were like, ‘It’s come at the perfect time’ and I think it actually has really.”

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues on Channel 4 on Sunday.
