Gavin and Stacey's Joanna Page was 'waiting for a burger' when finale script arrived
The sitcom's last-ever episode airs Christmas Day on BBC One.
What did you miss?
Gavin & Stacey's Joanna Page has revealed what she was doing when the script for the sitcom's big Christmas finale arrived in her inbox.
Guesting on the latest episode of The One Show on Wednesday, 18 December, she recounted waiting for a service station burger as the exciting notification came through on her phone.
The Stacey Shipman actress was apparently so eager to rifle through its pages that she needed to park her car somewhere else to avoid getting a ticket.
What, how and why?
Joined by co-star Larry Lamb on the sofa, she told presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo: "I was so excited because I was coming off the back of another job and I was in a service station waiting for a burger, and I'd been waiting for this script and suddenly I looked at my phone and it said 'Gavin and Stacey read-through scripts.'
"I thought, 'Oh my gosh I've got it on my phone!' I looked around and I thought, 'So many people here would just love to see what's in this!' So I got my burger, got in the car, started eating the burger and then just read it there and then on my phone, voice-noting Ruth [Jones] all the way through it just going, 'Can't believe this, oh my gosh just read this!'" continued Page.
"Then I had to drive to the next service station so I didn't get a [parking] ticket, and then read the rest of it. I laughed, I cried."

Larry Lamb shares details on 'emotional' Gavin & Stacey ending
Lamb, who plays Mick Shipman in the beloved comedy, also claimed that he and Page sat around "poleaxed" after watching the last-ever episode.
"You just feel exhausted," he said. "It's an absolute, ultimate emotional rollercoaster you know. It's quite extraordinary. The most amazing piece of writing, just so clever."
What else happened on The One Show?
A little later on, Death in Paradise's newest detective inspector star Don Gilet discussed shooting in the sizzling Guadeloupe climate.
"It's one of the characters, the heat," he noted, before suggesting he's far more comfortable in the cold.
"Everyone's hot, there's no point complaining about that I'm hot, we're all hot. But I love the UK climate, I didn't realise how much I missed the UK climate, I'm a layers man."
