Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have addressed the possibility of a Jon Snow spin-off being developed.
The HBO show may have ended in 2019, but George RR Martin's fantasy world has since been expanded with House of the Dragon, which is set roughly 200 years before the main show.
A spin-off focusing on Kit Harington's iconic character was rumoured to have been in development at one stage, but Benioff and Weiss cooled the speculation in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"It would be so great; nothing would make us happier than to work with our people from that show," said Weiss. "But there are a lot of other ways to make that happen that are fresh and exciting for everyone involved.
"Also, unless [Harington] has been doing a lot of working out, that's a really heavy cloak for a guy in his 40s to carry around - it's like 60 pounds."
He added, "Maybe when we're 80 and Kit's approaching retirement, he can throw that cloak on again with real grey in his beard."
The Jon Snow spin-off might not be the only project from the pair to not get off the ground, with the duo recently revealing that a proposed Star Wars film by them was scrapped before entering development.
"We wanted to do The First Jedi," revealed Benioff. "Basically how the Jedi Order came to be, why it came to be, the first lightsaber... And we were annoyed as hell when [Rian Johnson] called his movie The Last Jedi. He completely destroyed the obvious title for what we were working on."
