Gable Tostee 'calls police to report assault by woman'


Gable Tostee has reportedly called police on a woman claiming she assaulted him.

Paramedics and police were called to the home of Mr Tostee’s parents in Carrara on the Gold Coast on Tuesday afternoon, The Courier-Mail reports.

The paper said he had complained a woman assaulted him, and called police.

She was reportedly hospitalised for a mental health evaluation but neither were harmed.

Mr Tostee is said to be living at the property.

Queensland Police has declined to confirm or comment on the reported incident.

Mr Tostee made headlines across the country when he faced court in 2014 over the death of Tinder date Warriena Wright who fell from the balcony of his Gold Coast apartment.

In October, 2016 he was acquitted of the charges.

He now goes by the name Eric Thomas.

In January last year, he weighed in on a debate after an American woman wore glitter art on her topless chest at a New Zealand music festival.

The woman claims she was groped at the festival.
