Revealed: Full list of schools affected by concrete crisis – and which ones have been closed
The government has finally published a full list of the schools affected by fears over the safety of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).

The government has published the full list of schools affected by crumbling concrete following days of pressure.
The Department for Education update shows 19 schools where the start of term has had to be delayed as a result of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (Raac).
Pupils at 24 schools across England will receive some remote learning because of the concrete crisis, with four schools switching to fully remote learning.
Education secretary Gillian Keegan has previously warned there could be hundreds more cases as surveys of school sites are returned.
The issue is a major headache for Rishi Sunak, with the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) union saying saying the crisis “reinforces” for parents that the government does not care about education.
The prime minister has rejected claims he cut funding for school rebuilding during his time as chancellor – and said only 1% of schools are impacted.
However, Gareth Davies, the head of the National Audit Office (NAO), suggested in an article for the Times that the government neglected "unflashy" jobs such as school rebuilding to spend money on "higher-profile" projects.
Downing Street has also declined to say when the crisis schools will be resolved.
The PM’s official spokesman said: “Whilst there are still some outstanding surveys we cannot put a specific timeline on it.“In the instances where we have identified Raac (reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete) we expect mitigations to be put in place in a number of weeks.”
Which schools have closed buildings?
The government has separated the list into four different mitigations put in place to deal with the crisis: all pupils in face-to-face education; fully remote learning; mix of face-to-face and remote arrangements; and start of term delayed.

What is RAAC concrete and why is it dangerous?
RAAC is a lightweight building material used from the 1950s up to the mid-1990s, but now assessed to be at risk of collapse.
The DfE has been considering RAAC as a potential issue since late 2018.
The state of England’s schools buildings – as well as problems with RAAC – were highlighted in a report in June by the NAO, which said 700,000 pupils were learning in schools that required major rebuilding or refurbishment.
Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT, said: "What we are seeing here are the very real consequences of a decade of swingeing cuts to spending on school buildings."
Dr Patrick Roach, general secretary of teaching union NASUWT said the announcement highlighted "more than a decade of wilful under-investment" in schools.
Are other buildings affected by RAAC?
Schools minister Nick Gibb said the government is rebuilding seven hospitals due to issues related to "extensive RAAC".
Asked if other public buildings could be affected by the concrete, he said: "Right across the public sector, we are surveying the estate.
"You’ve heard of a court closing at Harrow. We are taking action, of course, in the hospital sector as well.
"Hospitals are very large buildings and they have teams of very expert maintenance people monitoring the building the whole time.
"They use propping where they identify RAAC and also we are rebuilding seven hospitals because of extensive RAAC in those hospitals."
