Campers on Queensland's Fraser Island are being evacuated away from a bush and grass fire on the northern end of the famed tourist site.
The fire is burning in a remote area near Ngkala Rocks and Orange Creek, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said on Wednesday.
Two firefighter crews are on scene attempting to contain the blaze, which is travelling northwest.
Rangers are relocating campers from three nearby sites to a safe location, a spokeswoman said.
There is no immediate threat to any property.
The 123 km long world heritage-listed island is about 250km north of Brisbane and is the world's largest sand island.
