Four men have been charged in Sydney's west over a violent home invasion in which a 52-year-old man was seriously injured.
Police on Friday said they raided three homes in Fairfield West and Villawood in the early hours of Thursday morning, seizing items and arresting three men aged between 20 and 23.
The three were refused bail and appeared in court on Thursday on charges of special aggravated break and enter and wound causing grievous bodily harm.
A fourth man, aged 23, was arrested later in the day and will face the same charges at Bankstown Local Court on Friday.
The 52-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering broken bones, a bruised liver and spleen, as well as cuts and bruises to his head, after a group of men armed with the handle of a large garden tool broke into his home in Dundas on Sunday evening.
