Four men are expected to face a regional NSW court charged with murder following the death of Vergel Velasquez on New Year's Eve.
Mr Velasquez, 42, was found with severe head injuries in the stairwell of a Girraween unit block in Sydney's west following reports of a fight on December 30, 2019.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition and died from his injuries the following day.
Three men aged 41, 42 and 50 were arrested at 10am on Tuesday and a 49-year-old was rearrested at Moree.
All four men were taken to Moree Police Station, where they were charged with murder.
They were refused bail and are expected to appear at Inverell Local Court on Wednesday.
Police say investigations are continuing.
