Four arrested over Melbourne carjacking

Four teenagers have been arrested over a violent carjacking and a subsequent theft at a supermarket in a Melbourne.

A 45-year-old woman standing at the boot of her car was approached by three female teenagers and attacked in Dandenong just before 5pm on Tuesday, punching her in the face and escaping in her car, police said on Wednesday.

Police stopped a car and arrested three girls, aged 18, 17 and 15, and a 16-year-old boy just after midnight, and say they will be charged on summons for a range of offences.
