Police say a Florida man killed his ex-girlfriend after she filed a police report against him.

Robens Cesar, 41, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of 34-year-old Fridelene Daniel, WPTV, CBS12 and WPBF-25 report.

Daniel was killed outside her apartment complex just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, less than an hour after she filed a harassment report against Cesar at the Boynton Beach Police Department, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Police found Daniel dead at the scene, WPTV reported. Cesar’s black Honda was seen leaving the scene, CBS12 reported.
