Lingfield residents have been warned to expect flooding as heavy rainfall causes rising water levels.

Properties near Lingfield Common Road and Ray Brook at Blindley Heath are most at risk, according to the Environment Agency (EA).

Flooding is expected north of Lingfield from 16:30 GMT and will continue throughout the evening.

The warning comes as the Met Office issued a yellow rain warning for the south of England for Sunday.

Areas under a flood warning are advised to put any flood plans into place and monitor conditions.

Rain is expected to last overnight until Monday, the EA said.

Meanwhile, properties on the Kent-Surrey border near Haxted Mill may be at risk of flooding.
