Five men have been charged with participating in a criminal organisation over allegedly trafficking methamphetamine, ecstasy and cannabis between Adelaide and Townsville.

The men, aged from 20 to 43, were arrested last week in raids across Adelaide by organised crime detectives following a long investigation.

Police have also seized high-performance cars, motorcycles and expensive jewellery and will ask that they be confiscated as proceeds of crime.

Two of the men were refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The three others were granted police bail to appear in court in July and August.
