Two men have been arrested after a police dog on his final job found firearms, ammunition, tasers, drugs and cash buried in a Melbourne garden.
Police say patrolling officers noticed a stolen car in Melton North early on Sunday morning but lost sight of the vehicle.
Officers later spotted the car parked in the middle of a street and confronted two men standing in a nearby driveway.
The hidden cache of weapons, drugs and cash was found by soon to be retired police dog Diesel who sniffed out the loot in the garden bed on the property.
The suspects, a 25-year-old St Albans man and a 24-year-old Melton West man, were arrested and are expected appear in court on Sunday.
