FedEx courier caught on camera throwing fragile boxes onto driveway
A courier has been caught on camera throwing fragile packages onto a driveway.
A FedEx driver, standing on the step of his van, throws three large cardboard boxes onto the driveway of a home.
The careless delivery man throws the packages with such force that they bounce on the pavement.
Florida man Marcell Cubilla, captured the footage on his home security camera.
“This is how FedEx delivered expensive and heavy Audio/Video equipment to my house today,” Mr Cubilla wrote on Facebook.
“Extremely appalling”.
The packages contained approximately “$4,200 in home audio/video equipment”, according to Mr Cubilla.
The video attracted outraged responses from the public and attracted over 222,000 views.
“This is crazy! I order most of my equipment online and if it were ever to be delivered like this I would be furious,” one Facebook user posted.
“Wow! This is horrible,” another user said.
Mr Cubilla complained to the FedEx corporate head office, who later picked up the damaged boxes and returned them to the sender.
“The behaviour depicted in the video is unacceptable and inconsistent with the professionalism FedEx Ground contracted service providers demonstrate every day,” FedEx commented on the original post.
“We are committed to treating our customers’ shipments with the utmost care and can confirm that this individual is no longer providing service on behalf of FedEx Ground”.
