Fans mock Conor McGregor over embarrassing NFL fail

Fresh off a strong second-place finish in the UFC 229 title bout last weekend, Conor McGregor wasted no time getting back in the spotlight.

The Irishman was on the sideline for the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars fixture when someone decided to hand him a ball.

Without hesitation, McGregor ran into the middle of the field and launched it downfield.

But the results weren’t pretty, and NFL fans were brutal:

McGregor’s appearance was reportedly as a guest of the Dallas Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones, who labelled his attendance as “inspirational”.

The Cowboys recorded a huge 40-7 victory over their rivals, and McGregor’s pre-game hype has been lauded as a catalyst for the result.

Coming up against the defensive-oriented Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas brought in the boisterous athlete to give them a pep talk.

‘SPECIAL TREATMENT’: Rousey blasts UFC and McGregor

Ahead of the Week 6 game, McGregor greeted players, took pictures with Jerry Jones and was involved in the pre-game huddle:

The 30-year-old recently lost a hugely controversial fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov during UFC 229, where a massive post-fight brawl resulted in 10-day (and possibly longer) suspensions for both fighters.

The suspension didn’t seem to faze McGregor though, who is living his best life in Dallas.
