How an alligator was used in a truly bizarre gender reveal

A couple has enlisted a snappy guest for their unique gender reveal.

Stacie Childs-Wright and her husband Chad Wright, of Tampa in Florida, are expecting their 10th child, Fox 13 reports.

The couple decided to film their gender reveal and enlisted the assistance of their pet alligator Amos.

Mr Wright is seen with a black balloon on a stick.

Amos chomps down and the balloon bursts revealing pink powder much to the amusement of those watching.

It might have seemed dangerous, but Mr Wright works with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as a nuisance wildlife trapper.

Amos has been with the family since 2005.

On Twitter, people were both stunned and amused by the gender reveal.

“Only in Florida,” one man tweeted.

Another simply tweeted, “that’s crazy” while another suggested it’s “the most Florida thing” they’ve seen.
