'Living nightmare': Siblings' heartbreaking tributes after finding sister dead

The siblings of a woman found dead in her Perth home have left touching tributes to their sister online, calling her “a beautiful soul”.

The body of Jessica Bairnsfather-Scott, 32, was discovered in her Nollamara home by relatives on Saturday night after they became concerned for her welfare when receiving a confusing text message showing pictures of a car crash.

They had failed to contact their sister and when they arrived at her home the door was locked.

They managed to gain access to the home via the roof about 11.30pm.

On Tuesday morning, WA Police confirmed to Yahoo News Australia a 50-year-old man from Nollamara has been charged with murder and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.

Taking to Facebook on Monday, sister Alison Gibson said the family are “completely heartbroken”.

“She was a beautiful soul filled with kindness, love, a smile that would light up a room, she would do anything for her family,” she wrote.

“The world has lost the most amazing person. This should not have happened. I love you forever Jess you will never be forgotten.”

Her brother Brenden Scott shared an image of himself and Ms Bairnsfather-Scott who he described as his baby sister.

“This isn’t fair... I’m living a nightmare,” he wrote.

“I’m your big brother, I’m meant to protect you and I failed.”
