Family in shock after man dies on Father's Day following a sneezing fit

A father has tragically died after suffering a sneezing fit on Father’s Day.

On September 2 Paul Doe had a normal day at work, telling his colleagues at Entire Concrete he could not wait for Father’s Day, and the moment his son, Travis, would run up to him and give him a hug and kiss.

But at 8am on that day he was so looking forward to, he suddenly died after having a sneezing fit.

His wife, Belinda, wrote on Facebook he collapsed suddenly and could not be revived despite all efforts.

She said they had no further details and the final cause of death was unknown.

A GoFundMe page set up for the 34-year-old father describes Mr Doe as a man who was “always happy and smiling”.

Mr Doe and his wife had just bought their first house in the Hunter Valley in NSW before his shocking death.

“Paul being so young was obviously not prepared for this and that is why we are working hard to try and raise as much money as we can,” the GoFundMe page said.

Mr Doe’s wife said on Facebook she was overwhelmed by the support she had received since his death.

“Paul always used to tease me about my optimism and blind faith in people where he was always a little more cautious about this,” she said.

“I guess you could say we balanced each other out in that way.

“I can’t help but laugh and tease him back now as I say a big fat ‘I told you so’ to him. He would be totally blown away by all of this.”
