On Tuesday the teenager’s family was celebrating his 15th birthday.

“Everyone loved him,” Braydon’s uncle Damian said.

“He was a good kid, a really good kid.”

Braydon’s family say they don’t understand why he was on the road at that time of night, but believe he may have been on his way to see his Nan, who lives nearby.

“I want to know the truth,” his mother Crystal said.

“Find out what happened. Time will tell. It’ll come.”

Crash investigators are appealing for any drivers who travelled through Wantabadgery between 7pm Tuesday and 1am Wednesday to come forward.

“It was very dark, obviously a country road,” Wagga Wagga Police Supt Bob Noble said.

“Potentially someone may have been involved in an accident or something may have occurred, a driver of a heavy vehicle or similar may not have known, may not have realised.”

Police are keeping an open mind as they try to piece together what happened to Braydon and why his life ended so tragically.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
